When you want to cover your windows at home, wood shutters are an excellent choice. At Starwood Distributors, we offer a wide array of styles and grains to fit your home’s aesthetic. We guarantee the quality of our work, and we’re sure that you’ll love your 100-percent wood shutters.

The Advantages of Wood Shutters

When compared to other coverings like drapes and Venetian blinds, wood shutters can offer some distinct benefits. Here are a few reasons why you might want to install them in your home.

Classic Appearance

Whether you have a modern, rustic or contemporary vibe in your home, wood shutters can complement your style. Since they can come in a variety of colors, you can mix and match them however you like to fit almost any room. Wood shutters are timeless, meaning that you won’t likely change your mind down the road, even if your design preferences do.

Strong and Reliable

When installing new window coverings, you want to make sure that they can hold up to repeated use. Wood shutters are the perfect accent to any home because they are incredibly resilient. Even if you use them every day, they can withstand the wear and tear of opening and closing repeatedly.

Affordable

If you compare the price of window coverings, you might assume that wood shutters would be on the higher end of the spectrum. While they are pricier than Venetian blinds or low-cost drapes, they’re not terribly expensive. At Starwood Distributors, we build our shutters in-house, meaning that they are more affordable than you might realize.

Multiple Design Options

Unlike drapes or Venetian blinds, you can customize your wood shutters. At Starwood Distributors, we offer the most common design options, and we can create unique shutters for your home. The types we carry include:

-Traditional – These shutters have a piece in the middle so that you can adjust either side independently.

-Modern – There is no centerpiece, meaning that each shutter is longer and allows more light to come in.

-Plantation – There are four sections with thick dividers between them. Plantation shutters offer better privacy and versatility.

-Transitional – Rather than a centerpiece going through vertically, it cuts through horizontally on these shutters. Also, each section is smaller to allow for better privacy, even when the shutters are fully opened.

If you decide to order customized wood shutters, we can create almost any design possible. We’ve built them for French doors, windows, awnings and more. Best of all, because we make them in-house, we can pass those savings onto you. Give us a call or come to our address to browse design options.
