Hardwood Flooring Repair
Has normal traffic and wear and tear left your hardwood floors looking dull and scratched? Is your older hardwood floor looking faded and discolored? Does your hardwood floor have water damage or perhaps “water” damage from pets? If you are answering “yes” to any of these questions, chances are your hardwood floor is in serious need of some tender loving care.
Don’t worry, though. You likely don’t have to replace your floor. Many damaged hardwood floors can actually be repaired instead of replacing or even refinishing. Most likely, your floor has a centralized problem spot rather than the entire floor being in disrepair. If so, we can repair the floor. In fact, it’s one of our specialties. We get many calls from customers who say they need a whole floor refinishing; customers are pleasantly surprised when we assess the damage and say that a much less costly repair will remedy the issue.
When repair is not a good solution, we can offer to resurface or even refinishing. In rare cases does the entire floor need to be replaced. Regardless of what you need, our services range from simple scratch repair to total hardwood floor replacement, and everything in between.
Here are some of the more common situations we deal with. We often repair deep scratches or deep gouges into the wood grain, as well as wood that has been dimpled from objects hitting the floor. We can resurface floors that have years of dirt and grime build-up due to heavy traffic. We can also add new life to floors that have been dulled by layers and layers of residue from floor cleaning products. We repair discolored and faded floors, as well as floors damaged by pets, water damage and ultraviolet sun damage.
Best of all, we have no cookie-cutter solutions. Every floor and every situation are unique, and we have the experience to offer you the best flooring solution. In most cases, we can professionally patch your floor. We are craftsmen and pride ourselves on these types of repairs.
In other cases, a complete sanding and refinishing is required to transform old, worn floors into beautiful hardwood flooring. We use the latest in technology: dust reduction systems, water-borne urethanes and the best oil finishes. In some cases a floor can be renovated without the need for sanding, and if your floor meets these requirements, we will use our state-of-the-art chemical renovation that is faster and more economical than traditional sanding. In other cases, all it takes is a good floor cleaning and a recoating with polyurethane for the floor to look brand new.
